Abdominal Diastasis Correction

‎ABDOMEM-SITE-NEW.‎001.png

Abdominal Diastasis Correction is a surgical procedure designed to correct the separation of the abdominal muscles, a common condition in women after pregnancy or in people who have experienced significant weight fluctuations. This separation, called diastasis, can cause not only aesthetic discomfort, but also functional discomfort, affecting posture and trunk stability. With advanced surgical techniques, it is possible to restore the abdominal muscles, providing a firmer and more functional abdomen, in addition to improving its aesthetics.

Abdominal Diastasis Correction can be performed in several ways, using modern techniques, depending on the patient's needs:

Correction with Mini Abdominoplasty or Classic Abdominoplasty: In cases where diastasis is accompanied by excess skin, abdominoplasty may be indicated. In mini abdominoplasty, the correction is done with a smaller incision, removing excess skin in the lower abdomen and correcting the diastasis by suturing the abdominal muscles. Classic abdominoplasty involves a larger incision, removing more skin throughout the abdomen and also correcting the diastasis by suturing the abdominal muscles.

Correction with Robot or Videolaparoscopy: In some cases, minimally invasive surgery, such as videolaparoscopy or the use of robotic technology, may be indicated. These techniques are recommended for people who do not have excess skin to remove and are only indicated for correcting diastasis of the abdominal muscles.
